Knitting Bee
Knitting Bee is located in West Union Village at the corner of 185th and West Union Rd. The shop is across from Rose City Ceramics and between Teriyaki Woo and Bubble Tea (yum!). There is also an Albertson's at the center.

It's a cute, though pricey, yarn shop. They do have budget yarns, just artfully hidden. Ask and you'll find the Brown Sheep and Plymouth Encore.

Knitting Bee has great and friendly staff :) Also they have a program where after you spend $500 and you get a $50 gift certificate to spend there!!! Classes and knitting groups (for afghans and socks) are always interesting, too.

Knitting Bee is worth the drive. I drive 2 hours to shop there. They have most of their yarns knit up into samples so that you can see what it looks like before you buy it. They also have a lot of FREE handouts if you buy yarn there (most patterns are for 1 or 2 skeins so you really aren't spending a whole lot). Everyone that works there is super friendly and very helpful.

I'm the owner of Knitting Bee, and I have to admit I got a chuckle out of the description of my shop! I personally invite you to come visit the shop so you can discover for yourself that we are not "pricey" and do our best not to "hide" any yarns! We carry a wide selection of yarns, from extravagant to budget, and try to always go the extra mile to make sure you find the right yarn for your project and know you have helping hands to turn to if you find yourself in a knitting or crochet emergency. We offer lots of great classes for knitters, crocheters and spinners of all experience levels and have several free knitalong groups that meet monthly, including our Friday Night Sock Club.

We stock yarns from Cascade, Lamb's Pride, Dream in Color, Rowan, Debbie Bliss, Louet, Mountain Colors, Noro, GGH, Lana Grossa, Classic Elite, Tahki-Stacy Charles, Pagewood Farms, Claudia Handpaints, Lorna's Laces, Plymouth, K1C2, Zaol Handknitting, Punta del Este, Manos del Uruguay, Berroco, Crystal Palace, Louisa Harding, Nashua, Blue Heron, Great Adirondak and many, many more! We also have an incredible selection of leaflet patterns and books.

Knitting Bee is located just 15 minutes west of downtown Portland. Come visit and say hello!

Great yarn, lots of hand-dyed and a whole plant-based yarn area. Some fiber, and a great place to pick up a drop spindle. They also have a swift and ball-winder to use! My favorite store.
