DIXIE’S TUPPERWARE PARTY AND SHOW A BENEFIT FOR Q CENTER @ THE JUPITER HOTEL Sneak Preview of Off-Broadway Show Features the Queen of Tupperware and Kicks off Portland’s Pride Week June 12PORTLAND, Oregon (May 16, 2006) — This is not your mom’s Tupperware party! The Jupiter Hotel will host a sneak preview of Dixie’s Tupperware Party on June 12 from 8:30-10:00 p.m. followed by a DJ dance party to kick off Portland Pride week. The show and party are a benefit for Q Center, which builds public awareness and support for Portland’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Community. The off-Broadway show features Dixie Longate, Queen of Tupperware. Besides new, highly inventive uses for Tupperware, you’ll learn all about Dixie’s life, from her tragic descent into drugs, sex and prison to finding her calling selling “plastic crap” to her star turn at Jubilee, Tupperware’s annual gala awards. The benefit is $25 at the door or $5 for the DJ after-party beginning at 10:00 p.m. The Jupiter’s DreamBOX space will feature a no host bar with food by Salvador Molly’s.
